In the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) held on 21st August 2011 at 'Hoel Sangeetha', Sir CV Ramasamy Road, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai - 28,

The new Committee was inducted. Co-ordinators, area-wise, have been identified - some continue and others named elected with their consent were introduced to members. It is felt that coordinators role is important and should support the committee in all activities. The Secretary Mr.S. Seetharaman wished with greetings to many new Life members joined AFA fold - the highest ever, after the previous AGM and thanked one and all present in great strength. He assured that the new committee will do their best to the interests of members and will take the advisors help at all times.
Members aired their views after the Chair naming 5 persons as a sub-committee to improve the Vandalur land / property. When a suggestion was made by him that the committee will look into pros & cons to promote new structure on a JV basis. Immediate reaction came from members that no JV to be ventured; we should do it on our own - it was Mr.AKP who came first with this view and offered Rs.2 Lakhs as interest free loan. Many members followed suit announcing in lakhs that they extend as loan; Mr.A.S. Subramaniam who narrated how the existing property was developed and looked after so far and announced that he will contribute Rs.5 Lakhs as loan. He also spoke on the importance of Insurance policies particularly the mediclaim Insurance policies. Mr.Seetharaman and Ms.Tamilselvi made an impressive presentation on HEALTH and WELBEING. Sure to see new initiatives and action takes place in the next two years.
